As a parent of two now young adults I cannot stress to everyone enough how important it is to check out like this. No one will be harmed. It took me until my kids were a tween and a teen during the summer of 2020 trapped in our house to put earbuds in and listen to music or a podcast while everyone crabbed without a made up task like urgently needing to clean the oven.
