Cats: the musical

Core memory!

I saw Cats in 1983 and it was the first time I’d seen drunk people. We were in the second row and the people in front of us were wasted and they stuffed their coats into one of the tunnels used for performers to exit the stage. The “cats” were trying exit and throwing coats all over the place. The drunk people were out of control!

I sang “memories” at my 3rd grade talent show. That’s what kind of kid I was.
