Looks like they have various padding of the sole thickness but I know the strap part sounds like the biggest issue. These appear to be softer than a teva strap but haven’t test-driven myself!

The thin soles scare me a little bit! City streets are sooooo icky and the wilderness is pokey, but they do look cool.
