The Tomte Cake: If you have kids in your life (or anyone who likes a little whimsy), I recommend the Tomte Cake as a new holiday tradition. You can actually eat it, it’s delicious, and there’s a whole story to go along with it. We do a kids vs adults and let the kids eat theirs with all the classic gingerbread house candies on it, and the adults decorate ours with dried fruits and other things that make eating the cake itself more delicious. Winner is whoever finds Tomte the gnome in their cake.
