Instead of a physical guestbook where everyone had to touch the same pen, we had people call a phone number from their cellphones and leave a message. It was the best because now my husband and I can listen to the voicemails whenever we want unlike a guestbook that probably would have gotten misplaced in storage.

“We used a company called After The Tone to set up a vintage telephone that records messages from guests. They left them throughout the reception and it is so funny to hear people get progressively more silly and some of them were so heartfelt I cried. It was super easy to set up, and I had the recordings pressed into a vinyl record to add to our collection. These were so fun to listen back to afte”

“idk if you need this exact one due to the utter abuse of the word whimsy BUT voicemails as a guest book are so sweet. and i’ve certainly seen drunk people leave them at receptions which are so cute funny and sappy all at once”

“Had one of these for our wedding. Low-friction async way to leave a message and a memory.”
