Watching popular TV you missed out on

I truly did not experience pop culture until I was in, like middle school. We didn't have cable and my parents were real nerds, so we listened to public radio and watched PBS. Now I'm going back and experiencing some of the stuff I missed and, let me tell you, it does not all age well, but my girlfriend can drop in for a few episodes or I can refresh her on something particularly wild that happened. Now I know what that thing people in college were so excited about is!
