Linking to a story about the decline of the public pool because I want to raise awareness about the importance of maintaining our public places! I feel very strongly about our pools, parks, playgrounds and libraries. Let’s keep using these spaces so they stay resources for our communities. Free and cheap.

Have you read Heather McGee’s The Sum of Us or Erik Klienenberg’s Palaces for the People? Both talk about these third spaces very beautifully.
