customize how you consume content by having a two-dimensional alter ego

some 7 or so years ago, i grew really tired of instagram inundating my feed with ads and the like. i "just" wanted to see content from my friends and family. then, one day, i was doodling on my iPad and ended up drawing Flat Bennett. then, i realized(!) Flat could have his own instagram account where he follows memes, news, sports, and so on; and Matthew could have his own instagram account where he only follows friends and family.

it was, and remains, a delightful way to separate instagram into more customized feeds
