gotta love that click. the flame insert is pretty ass though, in my personal experience. the wick never stayed lit, the fuel would evaporate too quickly, the smell was annoying. and the flame was in fact not windproof.
I’ve switched to a butane insert.

Same gripes— have had a brass version for years that I can never get to really work—switching to a butane insert is a brilliant. How do you do that?

glad to know I’m not alone. zippo sells butane jet torch inserts that use a different fuel but is wickless and flintless. it fits into any classic casing.
I’ve linked in the post and made a separate post in my EDC collection for the butane insert. I went with a single because I don’t need the double, but that’s an option hahaha.
