“Todd Haynes writes and directs Julianne Moore’s break out role. It’s not simply a crit of wellness culture. Nor is it just a collection of some of the most meticulous 1990s interiors ever seen on film. It’s so much more”

Steven Weill

“Domestic design, environmental anxiety, wellness culture, class, self-surveillance, and the conversion of a vaguely collective threat into an exquisitely managed private problem. Staggeringly ahead of its time and an undeniable ancestral backbone to any/everything you'll read/find @ Enter Fugue.”

Ross Chait

“Stark, haunting, albeit perfect and beautiful rooms from Safe. Especially if you grew up in or around the SFV.”
