Sabrina

The most iconic summer on the North Shore of Long Island movie (apologies to the original--also excellent but this captures the season the way no other movie could! And I can say that because I'm related to Bogie). The scene when Greg Kinnear picks Julia Ormond up from the Locust Valley train station and drives her back to Dosoris Lane (really Dosoris Island) is everything.

I worked on this movie! You may be the one viewer of this remake but oh boy was it fun to make.

OMG amazing!! I will say it is the movie of choice in Locust Valley in the summer so there are quite a few of us. The antique store in the background when Sabrina arrives in Locust Valley was my grandmother's :)

No way! We were on night shoots there for weeks and weeks doing party scenes. It was the most indulgent experience

I can only imagine! My family still talks about the filming of this movie taking over the town that summer haha. Obviously still stories they're dining out on years later! It really captures the area at its best in its best season so it's the ultimate nostalgia trip for me. (Plus beautiful costumes/beautifully shot/beautiful sets.)

While the original is wonderful, there is something about this version that is so endearing and infectious. Love it.

“Sabrina (1995) is a perfect rainy day movie with it's once upon a time fairytale quality and the multitude of incredible interiors (plus an obviously star-studded lead cast supported by some amazing character actors who hadn't quite broken through. Succession fans look out for J. Smith-Cameron!) The Larrabee family estate is obviously stunning - we get a little tour in the opening scenes - but for”
