I switched to Arc a few years ago and now regular browsers feel prehistoric lol. It organizes tabs in a way that actually makes sense to my brain, I can have completely separate spaces for my multiple businesses/personal/random rabbit holes, and everything lives neatly on the side instead of in that tiny tab graveyard across the top.
There IS a slight learning curve for like 2 days because you have to stop expecting it to behave like Chrome (though it uses Chrome as it's backend base) then suddenly you get it and you can never go back. I've recommended this pointedly to my friends and when the switch, they no joke text me out of the blue regularly to tell me how it changed their life. Oh and it's free of course.
I fear I have become emotionally dependent on a web browser. Don't get me started on the magic of Arc + video calls. 🤯

More like 247 tabs (and each time I open RecLeague this shame tally grows) but count me intrigued.
Arc is the best. We use it at my work. The splitscreen is everything.
Prayers answered!!
woah
Oh no, my husband uses this and probably also had sung its praises to me months ago. This sounds great, but I fear if I switch over, he will trot out the, "oh, sure, so when *Rec League* recommends it..." ;)
I also love Arc but it is not actively developed anymore. Only security fixes. They are developing Dia now. Which is not as good because the side bar is just not the same and worse. But Zen Browser (free and open source) is a very good alternative. Pretty much the same and getting better
Would it eventually not be safe to use if security patches are not being updated? Genuinely curious because so far I love this browser.
Yes indeed, not safe. As long as they still update it, its fine. But eventually they will stop doing that I assume. So sooner or later a switch is inevitable.
Except Arc is no longer being updated!! I was a diehard arc user but I switched to Zen Browser when they stopped making updates.
I was such an Arc evangelist, but ever since they stop updating it I live in fear that it will just stop working someday. How does Zen Browser compare?
I need to ... try this. 19 windows and hundreds of tabs over here
Across Rec League

“I cannot emphasise enough how great arc is and how terrible día is”

“When TBC discontinues Arc I might riot. I don’t know how I browsed before Arc. Take all my tabs but let me keep my spaces 😭”

“It makes my browser feel less chaotic, it’s a nice design and there a lot of great little features that make it a fun product.”
