Some books are about the plot, but this book is about the narration. I love young Zadie Smith’s wry, frenetic voice and the NW London multigenerational drama. Couldn’t put it down!

“This book is a banger. Characters so unlikable and chaotic that you love them by the end. Full of dry, deadpan British humor that had me laughing throughout - and the story is great as well. Unbelievable that this was her first novel, 10/10.”
