While you may not always follow Emily Post’s social rules (many of which will feel dated as written in these volumes, penned by one of the most famous voices in “how to do well socially”), knowing them — as well as when to break them — can serve you well.
Caveat: Don’t overdo it. You want to conduct yourself with some social grace. You don’t want to behave like an anachronism. Right?
