The Montague Bookmill: Montague, Massachusetts

Got to pop in to this rambling book-warren perched alongside a river; chairs positioned strategically throughout, often near open windows and the sound of moving water.

Found many treasures and brought home a biography of Ruth Krauss and Crockett Johnson, letters from Sylvia Townsend Warner, the Norton Book of Travel, a Kenneth Grahaeme book I had never seen before, and a book on Donald Crowhurst, fraudulent sailor.

A magical little bookshop on top of a mill over a waterfall. This is a treasure! I recall a particulalry good curry chicken sandwich from the cafe

I did!!! Donald Crowhurst is one of my 5,012 recurring obsessions (lol) so I was thrilled to find that book; he was a nonsailor who built his own futuristic boat and faked a round-the-world journey until disaster inevitably ensued.
