Cornell BirdCast
Forget the weather—in May, I'm checking the forecast for birds. CornellLab has a fabulous set of tools tracking bird migration showing live maps, predicted migration forecasts, and local dashboards (this is how I know 429,300 birds flew across Cuyahoga County last night, and that an estimated 101,300 birds are in flight overhead right now——it's peak migration season).

“In the same spirit as my recent monarch butterfly migration map rec, BirdCast from Cornell University allows you to track the seasonal bird migrations in real time. It's particularly astounding to observe the "x million birds in flight" metric. Allow yourself a moment of wonder!”
