the long way to a small angry planet - Becky Chambers

Jenn

“Pretty sure she invented hopepunk as a genre. Competency porn, but in space - aka if you loved The Pitt and also like science fiction, you'll be into this.”

Kari

“Becky Chambers’ Wayfarers series (this is the first book) was my first time reading sci-fi in space and maybe I’m ruined now because I want them all to be this way. I wouldn’t say they’re super plot-driven, more character vignettes, but I could live with her characters forever. Record of a Spaceborn Few is my fav, and made me love Long Way even more on the reread.”
