Bananarama & Fun Boy Three - Really Saying Something

i have a soft spot for early bananarama. i was 10 when mtv started; they had like 20 videos in their broadcast library and five of them were bananarama. aside from simply liking their music and diy style, i always appreciated that there was no lead singer (everyone in unison), they didnt seem to care what anyone thought and they weren't "assembled" by a producer. in their early tv appearances they always looked as if they rolled out of bed with a massive hangover about 15 minutes before showtime and their "choreography" was hastily thrown together while waiting backstage. i kinda lost track of them when they got glammed up and became a duo but i did do a nyc meet-and-greet in 2018 when they reunited and did a short tour. their first 3 albums are definitely the pinnacle.
