The Monongahela (Blanche Lazzell)

Still thinking about the Blanche Lazzell exhibit at the WVU Art Museum. One of the earliest abstract artists in the US and hard of hearing to boot—an incredibly slept on Appalachian. I love this white-line color woodcut of Morgantown; it looks so contemporary it’s hard to believe it’s from 1925.
