It’s so helpful! Gives you perspective and kind of keeps the plot moving forward even if you’re not sure what’s next etc :)

I cannot recommend this enough. I had a big ah ha when I went on a solo hiking trip in the alps and it rained the WHOLE time and I did not care at all and had such a great time and realized that was really only possible because I was alone and did not have to worry about if my former partner was having a good time, I could just decide to have a good time!! I suppose this is to say my favourite part of being single is having only my problems and emotions to really, truly contend with. I don’t have to take on the burden of someone else feeling listless in their career or unsure about their future — my issues and emotions are mine alone! (Of course it is lovely to love someone and share the textures of life, and I love being there for my friends, but it is also nice to have times of not carrying others burden, which is also something in working on in therapy lol.)
