Sea Monkeys

I was completely enthralled by sea monkeys as a kid. I assumed, quite confidently, that they would one day mature into those charming, vaguely humanoid smiling creatures on the packaging. Instead, I never found out, usually by way of the tank getting knocked over before anything remotely evolutionary could occur.

Growing up I was so obsessed with my sea monkeys. I had them for years and was somehow able to convince my teacher to let me give my class a presentation on them. Sadly my container was knocked over the night it before. Knowing other people had the same issue makes me feel better though— the company definitely needed to change their tank design. #gonebutnotforgotten
also the sea monkeys definitely didn’t look anything like that advertisement
