The Last Voyage of Somebody the Sailor by John Barth

Currently rereading this novel for the first time since college. Some moments don’t quite hold up, but the amazing sentence-level language, intertwining plot, several-levels-deep narrative frames, and deeply felt characters better than hold up. It is a novel to get lost in. And a long one, so one to get lost in for a good long while.
