The Power (Naomi Alderman)

The year isn’t quite over (it’s still September) but so far this book is Best of 2026 for me. (I’ve read 30 books this year). Such a well written page turner detailing a world where an electrifying power is awakened in women to inflict pain, harm, and death and how that changes the world and inverts the patriarchy. A treatise on violent systems, women’s rage, and the inextricable nature of unchecked power. I can’t wait to read it again!
