ADÉLA - Ain't In LA

Being eliminated from Dream Academy (the intense reality competition show that culminated in the genesis of Katseye) was the best thing to happen to this rising star.

The 22-year-old Slovak dancer, singer and songwriter was born to be a solo artist.

This track is a love letter to the pursuit of ambitions regardless of where you come from, and the video pays homage to her hometown of Bratislava. Her mum and sister even feature briefly.

If you're a pop music nerd like me, you might even pick up on the winks to iconic 2013 anthems like Miley's We Can't Stop and Lorde's Team - what do you think?

I'm also a huge fan of her lead single, KGB (her dancing is INCREDIBLE), and the fourth single & video, Nicole Kidman (we're big Nicole fans in this house).

If you like Addison Rae, Charli XCX, Kim Petras, Slayyyter, I think you'll love Adéla's debut album, PRIMA.
