Berkey Water Filtration Systems

I know Berkey had a huge “do not PuRcHasE this 3veR” fiasco but this is my favorite water filter and I did an obscene amount of research. If I owned my place I’d have a more permanent solution, but as a renter this is the elite water system. Here is a lot of other water systems I’ve researched, you’re also welcome to scour that and do your own research as they say!

There was a lawsuit against them saying their filters don’t work as advertised… the whole thing is a bit murky but at the end of the day I enjoy the water !

GOAT rec. just bought an inline filter on my fridge and replaced mine but we had one for about five years.

“Not really technology. But a slow way to get really effing good and tasty water. Your body deserves it.”

The Minimal Maximalist

“Generally, I advise testing your home’s tap water with a simple kit, and if the results are good, drinking it. While fluoride can be a legitimate concern, the amounts in most water systems are marginal enough as not to merit the additional cost, effort, and sustainability burden of a separate filter. That said——especially if you are a person who “hates water,” and would gladly buy a flavored drink”
