I adore this book and everything by Peter Mayle. If you want to travel without having to actually do anything as vulgar as leave your house, this is a great way to go.

This is the coziest book. A Brit moves to Provence and spends a lot of time building fires, eating delicious food, and meeting his neighbors. Perfect for couch / blanket evenings!!

We went to Provence when I was 12 travelling around and I forced my family to follow in his foot steps. Highlight: Roussillon, a village in red hues built near an ochre quarry, so beautiful!

“An all-time favorite memoir that put Provence front and center on my travel bucket list (so happy I got to check that off my list last summer)”
