Because it's made right here in Oakhurst, CA (outside of Yosemite) where a favorite friend/writer from outdoor industry lives; but I'm digressing. Because it smells like a jasmine/rose bouquet, gives good glow, soaks well into skin and doubles as another insanely delicious perfume. This one hurts to rec, but, I'm doin' it. Ironically I bought my first jar in a store completely opposite to Oakhurst low-key crunchy town; Goop in Newport Beach, Lido Village. There was a sweet product-obsessed young woman who worked there and she spent an hour with me without batting an eye at my messy-inlander-on-vacay escaping-the-big-fam look.

“A beauty editor favorite for good reason. Rich, floral, and deeply nourishing, this is the closest thing I’ve found to putting gold on your face — and I use it every night.”

“This product is thick and luxurious, smells divine and botanical, and has healing qualities I’m not quite sure how to describe. I use after the sun or when my skin needs to be cocooned in moisture. Perfect for after the sun or in the dryness of winter.”

“salt water, sun + dry LA - my skin is always in need of hydration. This stuff is like butter. I lather it on at night and wake up hydrated and glooooowy. Little goes a long way - plus 100% botanical. Made up in SF!”
