shallots > onions

I love a French onion soup as much as the next bitch but in most recipes I controversially replace them with shallots. except for onions on a hot dog…those remain as god intended 💅🏼

This is very interesting...I might inadvertently be a shallot girlie. After months of needing to toss red onions--because I couldn't seem to use them up before they went bad--I just stopped buying them. Enter the shallot, a kind of single-use red onion. Where ever a person stands, be they shallot or onion, I am pro them having an opinion on the matter!

I understood that all too well! The size of the shallot is better for my two person household and I feel as though they just add a hint of complexity!
