“Who said that every wish / Would be heard and answered?” is a stunning line. But what metaphysical secrets are Barbra and Kermit exploring here? Is it an ode to romance over reality? A skepticism hymnal? A paean to the intrinsic human (and frog) longing to connect with something bigger than ourselves? What does it all mean??
