We all know how deflating it feels talking to someone who couldn’t care less about what you’re saying - they’re either clearly disengaged or just waiting to talk about themselves.

People love sharing their own stories and information. Asking questions during a conversation shows that you’re actually listening and care about what they have to say. It helps you get to know them and it opens up the door for them to ask about you.

I am back on dating apps after a long break and I am thinking about this a lot, haha. I’ve been on six dates in the last 8 days and only 1-2 people asked me much about myself. I asked so many questions. One guy did in the context of his own hobbies lol.😅

It’s so sad how rare it is to find someone (romantic or platonic) who’s more interested in learning about you than talking about themselves!
