“My favorite moody gothic story out of Cornwall. I've always been fascinated by stories where the dead are so present, where they never make an appearance or utter a word yet the living remain so consumed by them. This is a novel where the dead holds so much influence over the living characters and I love it. I enjoy rereading this one in the fall.”
