Crumpling up a piece of paper and chucking it

Ok I recycle. We all recycle. But have you ever ripped a piece of paper off a notebook, crumpled it up and thrown it into the trash like you’re in Mad Men? Chef’s Kiss.

Was I raised in a Reduce, Reuse, Recycle era and do I later retrieve said paper to recycle it? Maybe.
