Mystic Seaport: The museum has a shipyard that maintains historic wooden ships as well as an old whaling ship you can explore. I did an overnight school trip here in 5th grade and sleeping on triple-decker bunk beds and making faux scrimshaw blew my mind, would love to go back tbh!

Artisans Angkor: A silkworm farm just outside of Angkor Wat (Siem Reap) where you can witness the entire silk making process by local artisans.

Teotitlan in Oaxaca: I have been many times now to this village outside of Oaxaca city. Traditional textile arts, candle making (look them up holy shit) and of course beautifully made traditional food. Other nearby villages specialize in other crafts including so much pottery. This whole region and really all of Mexico is a culture of artisans.

Seattle Underground Tour: Very different vibe from Williamsburg, but if you like history and are ever in Seattle try the underground tour. After the fire in late 19th century, the city was rebuilt on top of the old ruins. The ruins and old shopfronts are still preserved and you can tour them.
