Moccamaster KBGV Coffee Maker
•••
Since you all had such great gift ideas, I figured I’d give an update! S/o to @Kate for sending me down a coffee maker rabbit hole. I ended up going with the Moccamaster KBGV. It’s a classic pour over, but also feels retro and sleek. Hubby uses it proudly every morning :) Pro tip: get a nice grinder too! We went with the Fellow Ode and our coffee game is now on a whole other level.

Sought after reservation
•••
As part of my husband’s(who is exactly as you’ve described) bday gift this year … I set my alarm for 8:58 am to hover over the make a reservation button (21 days in advance and opening new reservations at 9 am) for a place we’ve been unable to get into… this year it was Armitage Ale house .. I got a few other things but he really appreciated the effort and thought put into snagging a hard to get reso at an amazing restaurant 🫶🏼

Nothing

It’s taken me many years but I’ve come to terms with it: the gift my husband yearns for is the gift of nothing.

Meet Yakima Our Bike Rack

We did the search and we finally found her a few years ago, never looked back. She’s a real companion to us, and we can load her up with what feels like 10 bikes (see specs for actual). The up-down mechanism is seamless between uses, and it’s a decently low profile considering.

The gift of prototyping
•••
If you want to give a great gift, but you aren't entirely sure what will work for the other person, you can give the gift of prototyping! Pick several small, cheap options for your gift for them to test. (Think samplers, travel sizes, or dupes.) Once they've tried all the options, let them tell you all about what they thought. Then use that information to get them the full version that's best for them. Bonus points for any of the following: - Add photos of the final gifts you're considering - Choose an entirely unreasonable number of prototypes to create a sense of abundance - Include a pretty notebook for them to record their thoughts - Invite them to a coffee date to hear about their testing - Offer to recycle or repurpose any unwanted prototypes for them

Love letters

Letter writing is truly a lost art. Tell them how you feel. I’ve saved every one I’ve ever received. Tied up with a ribbon in a box under my bed. Just hits different than a folder of saved emails…

The Porsche Experience in Atlanta was a huge hit and there are similar experiences wherever there is a race track. My guy loved this and he is PICKY :)
