A bright yellow lamp in the kitchen

Putting a statement lamp on the kitchen counter is one of the simplest moves that seems to have a transformational effect, giving breakfast prep or loading the dishwasher a decidedly luxurious feeling. I have this one from FLOS and move it all around our apartment, wherever/whenever we might need a spot of joy.
