One of the best places to see wildlife in nyc. Herons, bats, gophers (or are the groundhogs), frogs, turtles, parakeets, and a koi pond.

“Greenwood cemetery is my favorite place in Brooklyn. It may be my favorite place in the world. Birdwatching? Walking around? Being so depressed you write a song about a hawk called “Monsieur Pantaloons”? Rescuing a cat who’s been living in mausoleum?? You can really do anything here. I have written multiple poems about this place, and so probably has every writer in Brooklyn. It’s a little bitters”
