forgotten island

it’s filipino fall and between the love hypothesis making anh filipino (i have reservations of course but people smarter than me are talking about it better than i could… but i cried seeing parol sorry), olivia rodrigo’s tour starting, and forgotten island we are ALL getting real filipino right now

in all seriousness this movie was so funny and heartfelt and i cried through the entire thing. it’s like eternal sunshine of the spotless mind meets dude where’s my car and the hangover meets life is strange. the animation style was stunning TO ME and a very fun way to tie in the MC’s interest in art and comics. if anything i want people to walk away wanting to learn more about aswang because i started learning more about aswang a few years ago and now i bother my mom to send me books about folklore when she visits family.
