The Ruth Bancroft Garden, Walnut Creek, CA
Recommended by Catherine Davis
There’s always something in bloom and I just love a passion project made public. Ruth began creating her personal succulent garden in the 70s. Today there’s over 2,000 species of cacti, succulents, trees and shrubs.

“Who knew that there were this many succulents. Beautiful to wander, staff super friendly and helpful. The shop is dangerously enticing but every new family member is thriving.”
