“If you love Ann Patchett, you will love Elizabeth Strout. In fact, with all due respect to the Patchett-heads out there, every time I read a book by Anne Patchett, I'm like, "wow what a great idea for a book! I wish it was written by Elizabeth Strout!" I avoided reading her for a long time because I didn't like the cover of Olive Kitteridge. (Dumb??) Start with the My Name is Lucy Barton series. C”

“Do you miss the feeling of blowing through a series as a kid? you can have this same feeling reading an author's back catalogue! This summer, exit the zeitgeist and read everything an author you love has written. Bonus that a lot of older books have no wait at the library. author ideas: - Elizabeth strout - Barbara kingsolver - Ann patchett - George Saunders - Laurie Colwin”
