Found this book through Rec League… outside my regular comfort zone since I usually avoid apocalyptic stories. But it pulled me in, then knocked me out.

I recommend this book to every single person I speak to. It doesn’t matter if you’re a fiction hound or the last thing you read was an IKEA manual — you will love it.

“Dystopia but make it cozy. This book is equal parts adventure, tragedy, nature walk, and a love letter to community. Not to mention, Leif Enger’s writing is a delicious trail of treats.”
