I’m dedicating August to reading poetry everyday. What are your favorite poetry books?

But I especially love "The Lives of the Heart" from 1997. Her later books are also wonderful and she has done lots of beautiful translation work, as well.

I've so enjoyed the evolution of her work since discovering it over 20 years ago. I saw her read back then in Port Townsend, WA. It was life-shifting.
