Great for popping into shop/snacking/drinking outside. Rebel rebel has excellent wine selection of natural wines. And my friend owns Give Good – an especially good antique/vintage decor shop.

Snag seats at the bar. If it is busy, they'll put your name on a list. My favorite is the corner by the window. Best bartenders and great food + drink. A real neighborhood gem.

The Brattle Theater

One of the best movie theaters! They always have a rotation of classic movies, 35mm screenings of new and old movies, and current releases. I happened upon a 35mm screening of Phantom Thread here with a friend and it was so beautiful. The theater was empty and this was back when movie pass was a thing (rip) so I think I just spent $5 on popcorn.

Christina's Homemade Ice Cream

If you go into Cambridge I’ve been thinking about Christina’s so much! It’s right next to/owned by the same people as a spice shop, and they have lots of delicious unusual flavors as well as more classic ones. I love the brown sugar ice cream, it kind of tastes somewhere between caramel and coffee to me. And there’s lots of lovely stuff in Inman Square.

Mount Auburn Cemetery

If you are okay with hanging out in a cemetery (and going a bit out of your way) this is my favorite place in Cambridge!! I used to spend hours walking in here. Beautiful landscaping, great birdwatching (and other creatures too), and it's been around since 1831/has some famous graves. Some parts really feel like walking in the woods, and there are all these hidden places. And this gorgeous tower that feels very gothic novel to me. It's also right by Sofra, which is a really nice café.

My favorite ice cream! Perfect texture, classic flavors done well. No fancy pants nonsense here. The space is nice for people watching too.

If you can snag a seat by the entrance they lift open the windows so you can observe folks passing by. Plus it is just delicious Indian food. Win win!
