🍴 Grill & Steak Myōgetsubō 妙月坊

Similar to how Kobe is known for their beef, Tochigi (the prefecture that Nikkō is in) is also known for their beef!!!!!!!! The difference? Not sure, but this was another 名物 or local specialty that we wanted to try on our visit to the area and it was maybe my favorite meal of the whole trip. They're also famous for their hamburg and key lime pie (rare in Japan!). ✮˚. 𖦹彡⋆｡˚

Originally a priest's residence on the Rinno-ji Temple grounds, it was converted into a steak and grill restaurant in 2019. The interior of the building is also so dreamy and was the perfect spot for a date night.
