🍁 Kegon Waterfalls 華厳滝

One of the most iconic sight-seeing spots while visiting Nikkō, but it is easily top 5 beautiful things I've seen with my eyes in this lifetime. It's a lake (Lake Chūzenji) that turns into a giant waterfall and it surrounded by mountains... There are a a few different decks you can go to to get a nice view of the waterfall, but I'd recommend going on the ropeway to the highest viewing deck to see the full picture.

📍 Chūgūshi, Nikkō-shi, Tochigi（中禅寺湖畔）
🚌 From Tōbu-Nikkō or JR Nikkō Station: Tōbu Bus to Chūzenji Onsen, 40 min, then 5 min walk
🚗 From Nikkō IC via Iroha-zaka, approx. 30 min / Parking nearby (Kegon Lots 1 & 2, 2 min walk)
🕐 Mar & Nov 8:00–17:00 / Apr–Oct 7:30–18:00 / Dec–Feb 9:00–16:30（季節により変動 / 要確認）
💴 Upper observation deck: Free / Elevator to lower observation deck: Adult ¥570 / Elementary ¥340 (round trip, preschool free)
