there’s this quiet tendency or inclination that I have to seek out novelty — a lot of times i’ll wait till i’ve accrued enough PTO, saved enough money, bought that ticket to that destination to scratch that itch… but lately i’ve been drawn to the idea of being a tourist in my own town and exploring the places within a drivable distance from me.
i think maybe at the heart of it all, there’s this lack of curiosity that’s been rekindled.
