using pizza as a bread bowl

growing up in the san francisco bay area i am closely familiar with clam chowder in a sour dough bread bowl. which is of course delicious and so fun to get to eat the vessel in which a meal is served. but last weekend i experienced something new. a bowl of clams in a velvety sauce served on a bed of fluffy, cheesy, crispy wood fired pizza. clams in a pizza bowl. genius.
