Dr. Katz, Professional Therapist
Not a big fan of stand-up comedy, but when they are lying on Dr. Katz’s couch, I’m all in. Very funny show and available on the Internet Archive.

I quote from this show nearly daily - one of the warmest, funniest, most unique animated shows ever. Not surprising that Bob's Burgers (and others) evolved directly from Dr. Katz.

“Before South Park, Comedy Central won a Peabody for their first-ever animated series starring Jonathan Katz as a dry, kind, concerned therapist whose patients just so happen to all be real life stand up comics trying out bits on his couch. Everything about this show makes me laugh, even its animation style (dubbed “Squigglevision”) which continually makes jokes out of its cost-cutting 3-panel boil”

“Endlessly quotable, uniquely warm and regularly laugh out loud funny. An early precursor to Bob's Burgers.”

“Watching Dr Katz on Comedy Central is part of my origin story.”
