I own this one - but there are endless styles and sizes in the same vein. It holds a bunch of shoes, and… thanks to the drawers, a bunch of other crap too. For your entryway-less home, just put it as close to the door as you can manage. Mine’s in my living room.

“the depth is so shallow that it can fit in the tightest entryways (8in depth for the short version I think 11in for the tall pictured) but you still get that full "entryway/foyer" look not just okay kick your shoes off wherever. We just got it for our extremely cramped lobby area and are switching the knobs to cool leather tassel ones.”
