Boyfriend Crop Jeans: These crop jeans are pricey, but not too stiff or heavy. The room legs also let air flow. All of that is perfect for an always-hot perimenopausal woman.

I'm a 2X/18 in most sizes, but Universal Standard does me the great gift of letting me buy a Medium (because, after all, I'm actually about the average size of an American woman).

I wear them A LOT because I'm too cheap to buy multiple pairs, and they have held up great for a year.

Gorman Jumble Cotton Skort: I'm embracing my art teacher vibe in my old age, and this was my first big purchase. Talk about a splurge! But I ended up loving these pants so much that I went back and bought 2 more pairs of pants from this incredibly Australian company. Everything they make is bold, bright, and in your face. It's all so fun. Worth the investment if you want a statement piece of clothing!

Flore Flore - Steffi Tee: This is an expensive basic, but she is worth every penny. Well constructed, not thin or flimsy. She is classic and age appro! Elbows, put away. Collarbone, on display. Perfect length. I want it in more colors but started with this Navy and it’s on heavy rotation.
