collaging as a tool for better storytelling

this year I’ve been exploring my creative writing practice without a lot of expectation on deadlines or deliverables (as dreamy as it sounds, I’m very lucky to have had this time!), and a few months ago I started collaging as a low-stakes way of grouping themes, colors, visual character, &c. it activates what I notice and forces it into composition. highly recommend (especially when your neighbor tends to throw out stacks of 1960s french newspapers)
